MedicineNet.com and Webster's New World to Create Medicial Dictionary

MedicineNet.com, an Internet medical publisher, has announced that it has signed a publishing agreement with Macmillan General Reference USA Inc. to provide content for Webster's New World Dictionary of Medical Terms with approximately 6,500 dictionary entries. The dictionary is expected to be published early in Year 2000. The 400-page book will also include a fully referenced version of the dictionary on CD-ROM.

The source of material for Webster's New World Dictionary of Medical Terms will be MedicineNet.com's current medical dictionary on the medicinenet.com website, which contains more than 6,500 terms and has been created by the company's editorial team of doctors over the past three years.
