Marcel the Shell to Star in Picture Book

Marcel, the tiny shell with shoes and a big heart, is going to be the star of a picture book. Marcel uses a raisin as a bean bag chair and he hang glides on a dorito for adventure. If you haven't seen the video, you can watch it here or below.

The book, Marcel the Shell with Shoes On: Things About Me, will be published in November by Razorbill. Publishers Weekly says the book will have a 100,000 copy first print run.

Marcels creators are Jenny Slate and Dean Fleischer-Camp. Jenny Slate, the voice of Marcel, is an alum of Saturday Night Live and plays Stella on HBO's Bored to Death. Dean Fleischer-Camp is a writer, director, and animator whose work has screened at film festivals around the world. They live together in Brooklyn, New York.
