Law.com, LawStuff USA.com Sites Will Merge

LawStuff, Inc., the Chicago-based operator of the lawstuffusa website, and law.com, a leading Internet portal focused on legal information and services, have announced a merger. The privately held companies will combine to form a legal resource for professionals, business people, consumers and law students.

Charlie Davis, co-founder of law.com, says in a statement, "Lawstuffusa.com's e-commerce capabilities and presence represent the perfect complement to our news and information-based portal services. "Whether you're looking for a lawyer in Dallas, a legal textbook for a Boston law school course or the latest information on Y2K litigation, our site will speed and simplify your search."

Jeff Pavone, president of LawStuff, Inc, adds, "Together, we cover virtually every facet of the legal market. We intend to aggressively pursue our joint business strategy for growth and acquisitions to dominate this space."

Pavone will be in charge of e-commerce efforts at the combined entity.
