Last Saturdays Announces National Tour of The Next 20 Years Series

Posted on February 24, 1998

Last Saturdays, a new media industry networking organization, announced the first national tour of "The Next 20 Years" series (TNTY). This seven-market industry summit will present a live panel of industry pundits who will outline the future of the converging high-tech industries. Modeled after the highly successful May '97 San Francisco event of the same name, TNTY will offer new media, technology, entertainment, and advertising executives an opportunity to connect with industry innovators and influencers. Tour markets include Chicago, New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Seattle, Austin, and San Francisco.

Bob Ayres, the award-winning entertainment producer and creator of TNTY, will tailor a unique industry gathering for each host city. Each event will feature a different panel of noted futurists, technology luminaries, and industry analysts who will provide informed and specific predictions about which technologies will have the greatest impact on our lives. These moderated, thought-provoking discussions will paint a detailed picture of the next 20 years-from changes in commerce and communication to yet-to-be developed technologies that may be commonplace by the year 2018. Each invitational forum will be followed by a cocktail reception, live jazz, and technology exhibitions that will showcase emerging technologies in an intimate atmosphere designed to foster communication between industry leaders and start-up entrepreneurs.

"The explosion of new technology and investment built around the Internet has many industries debating who will be the next big winners," stated Ayres. "While the future is never crystal clear, TNTY aims to inspire thought and provide insight to the future of converging technologies. Each event will also offer industry professionals a comfortable and hip networking opportunity where ideas can be shared and deals can be made."

The first event of the tour has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 21 to coincide with the Spring Comdex show in Chicago.
