Kid's Book Contains Clues to Real Treasure

Posted on January 24, 2005

Michael Stadther, author of A Treasure's Trove, says his children's fairy tale contains clues about the location of twelve gold tokens that he hid himself. The tokens can be turned in for valuable jewels worth over $1 million in total. 100,000 copies of the self-published book have already been sold in just two months and the book has hit the The New York Times list.

The Associated Press reports that so far no one has found any of the tokens. So where are those jewels? Stadther told the AP that he "promises that they are all in public places where they can be easily accessed without digging, moving or disturbing objects or structures."

Update: CNET reports that all twelve tokens have been found.
