Jon Phillips Advances to Editor-in-Chief of Maximum PC Magazine

Maximum PC magazine has promoted Executive Editor, Jon Phillips to the position of Editor-in-Chief.

"Jon has been with Imagine Media for over three years, working first at The Net magazine and then moving to boot. He's an incredibly talented editor, he writes a killer humor column, and he genuinely loves technology," states Cheryl England, president of Imagine Media's Computing Division. "It's fantastic that we have someone like Jon to head up Maximum PC as we move into the year 2000!"

"Taking the helm of Maximum PC is the most exciting event in my entire publishing career," states Jon Phillips. "My goal is to continue with our strengths and ramp up the amount of practical how-to information that we publish every month. Jon's promotion comes on the heels of Brad Dosland's promotion from Editor-in-Chief of Maximum PC's to Network Publisher for FutureNet's Global Computing initiative. FutureNet is the global new media effort of Future Network (Imagine Media's parent company) and is lead by FutureNet President Mark Gross and V.P. of Operations Rob Rosenstein.
