Jewel to Publish Children's Picture Book

Posted on March 26, 2012

Jewel has signed with Paula Wiseman Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing, to publish a children's book. That's What I'd Do, a picture book and CD, will be published on September 18, 2012. The book is a gentle lullaby from a mother to a child. It features illustrations by artist Amy June Bates. Paula Wiseman will edit the book.

The book was inspired by the song "What I'd Do," music and lyrics by Jewel and Patrick Davis, from the bonus edition of the album The Merry Goes Round.

Jewel says, "I love to sing to my son, Kase, and I hope my first children's book, That's What I'd Do, will be shared with new babies in the same way. All children need the joy of music in their lives."
