Intelligent Life Corporation Changes Name to ilife.com

Intelligent Life Corporation, has announced it is changing its name to ilife.com, reflecting the company's Internet-driven business model.

"We are an Internet company, pure and simple. The majority of our revenue is derived from advertising and e-commerce on our seven consumer finance sites," said William P. Anderson, President and CEO, ilife.com. "Through renaming our company and establishing the ilife.com portal, we are delivering on our strategy to build an online community that serves a spectrum of consumers' personal finance needs."

The firm went public as Intelligent Life Corporation in May, 1999. Since that time the company has: acquired Pivot.com, acquired GreenMagazine.com, launched IntelligentTaxes.com, expanded Consejero.com, formed a partnership agreement with NBC Internet, Inc., and launched ilife.com, a vertical portal site, integrating information from each site in the company. In addition, the company's bankrate.com has become one of the top ten sites for financial information, according to data from Media Metrix.
