IntellectualCapital.com Gets Political
Posted on March 5, 1998
IntellectualCapital.com (IC) has expanded its political coverage with a new section devoted entirely to election-year commentary from national experts and pre-eminent journalists from around the country. The Internet-only magazine will analyze the issues shaping the hottest 1998 Senate and gubernatorial contests.
IC editor Pete du Pont, says in a statement, "Political junkies inside the Beltway and across the country will love this new section of the magazine. We will give them the two things they cannot find anywhere else -- coverage dedicated exclusively to the issues and insights from experts who know their states' political landscapes better than anyone."
National commentators for the new politics section will include Ron Elving, the political editor of Congressional Quarterly, and Dan Walters of the Sacramento Bee. IC also has recruited writers in the field to analyze the issues in the most competitive statewide races of the year. The e-zine will offer coverage of Senate races in California, New York, Arkansas, Kentucky, Colorado and Washington, and governors' contests in California, Florida, Maryland, Michigan and Minnesota, with more features expected to be added between now and November.
Visitors to IntellectualCapital.com will find links to candidates' home pages and other election information, as well as an archive of past IC articles on each race. As usual, bulletin boards will be posted at the end of most IC articles to let readers share their own political wisdom and try to shape the election-year debate. These bulletin boards have become a hallmark of the fully interactive e-zine, where users publish a good portion of the magazine's content.
IntellectualCapital.com is owned and published by A2S2 Digital Projects Inc., a for-profit Internet distribution and services company financed by venture capital and based in Chicago. Each week's issue offers in-depth commentary of important policy issues.
