IDG Games Media Group Names New Editor of PC Games

IDG Games Media Group has announced that Willem Knibbe has been promoted to the post of Editor for PC Games magazine, effective immediately. Knibbe will lead the editorial content of PC Games magazine, which also includes its monthly CD-ROM and website.

"Willem's leadership skills will be of great value to the PC Games editorial team as we enter a period of growth at the magazine," said Cynthia C. Sandor, Publisher of PC Games. "Willem's editorial style has created a powerful community of gaming enthusiasts around the publication that is lifting us to new heights. We are very excited about his richly deserved promotion."

Knibbe is a veteran of the technology publishing industry, first making a name for himself as a reporter for InfoWorld, he quickly moved into the gaming market as editor of strategy books for Infotainment World Books. He then immersed himself in the online gaming arena as an Editor/Producer at the Total Entertainment Network, responsible for building a community around the industry's most successful games.

"I've been a hard-core gamer since I got my first Atari back in 1977," said Knibbe. "I enjoy talking to our readers, gamer to gamer, and giving them the critical insight they are looking for before making their next game purchase."
