Hollinger Acquires the Southwest Booster

Hollinger Canadian Newspapers has announced that it has purchased the Southwest Booster, a bi-weekly publication published in Swift Current, Saskatchewan with a circulation of 19,300 copies in southwestern Saskatchewan. As part of the transaction, the Partnership also acquired The City Sun and a commercial printing operation serving the Swift Current area.

The Partnership is a leading Canadian publisher of daily and weekly newspapers, magazines and specialty publications. The Partnership's publications include 47 daily community newspapers, 182 non-daily newspapers and shopping guides and 106 magazines and specialty publications.
