High-tech Education Magazine Launches

Posted on September 1, 1998

The publishers of Government Technology, a technology publication for state and local government, announced the launch of Converge, a new high-tech education magazine. The new magazine takes its title from the Convergence of education and technology.

Launching monthly, starting in September 1998, Converge will reach a controlled circulation of over 50,000 qualified readers including: deans, presidents, chancellors, chief information officers, superintendents, principals, business officers, teachers, librarians, federal, state and county department of education executives and elected officials.

"Our experience and research pointed to a clear demand by educators at all levels for a publication with a fresh approach to covering the role of technology in education. These are unsettled times in education, and Converge will be a catalyst for positive changes enabled by technology solutions for teaching, learning and managing," said Sherese Graves, publisher of the new magazine.

Converge is a sister publication to Government Technology which recently won the Folio: Editorial Excellence Award for the second consecutive year. Published since 1987, Government Technology has a circulation of 65,000. In addition to Government Technology the company also produces trade shows and executive events.
