Hellicane: Poets Feel Hurricane Katrina

Posted on September 15, 2005

Hurricane Katrina has clearly touched a chord in the poets. A new blog features poems "written by, for and about those affected by Hurricane Katrina." The site is accepting poems and related photographs. The blog is called Hellicane.

Update: The crowdsourced poetic response to the terrible hurricane has been archived. A post on the site reads, "It has been nearly a decade since I launched Hellicane as a crowdsourced, poetic response to the pain and suffering, the rebuilding and rebirth, connected to Hurricane Katrina. While new poems are not being added to the site, Hellicane lives on for future generations to learn from and experience."
