HarperBusiness Signs New Book by Guy Kawasaki

Posted on October 9, 1998

HarperBusiness, a division of HarperCollins, will publish a new book by Forbes columnist Guy Kawasaki, the bestselling author of Selling the Dream and How to Drive Your Competition Crazy. Coming in February 1999, Rules for Revolutionaries: The Capitalist Manifesto for Creating New Products and Services presents a new model for prevailing in today's business world.

A self-proclaimed "business evangelist," Kawasaki served as director of Product Development at Apple where he was instrumental in creating the passionate cult of Mac users. Written in collaboration with Michele Moreno, Rules for Revolutionaries presents Kawasaki's strategies for taking on the competition and coming out on top. Citing examples from his own career, as well as the stories of other highly successful companies like amazon.com, Brita, Gillette, Disney, MTV and Microsoft, Kawasaki reveals the keys to revolutionary leadership: Create Like a God; Command Like a King; Work Like a Slave.

"By definition," Kawasaki writes, "if you don't change the rules, you aren't a revolutionary, and if you don't think different, you won't change the rules."
