Haights Cross Communications, a professional and educational publisher, announced its acquisition of the assets of Dreyfuss Hunt, Inc., publisher of a leading wellness newsletter, Top Health. Launched in 1987, Top Health is a topical, monthly employee newsletter distributed to more than one million workers nationwide.

"Top Health is an extremely well-conceived, high growth publication serving important needs in our changing world of healthcare," noted Haights Cross Chairman Peter Quandt, "As employers look for ways to reduce healthcare costs, they are increasingly turning to publications such as Top Health to help employees live healthier lives. I am particularly excited about this acquisition as it adds to Haights Cross' growing presence in healthcare."

Top Health will become part of Educational Reviews, LLC, a Birmingham, Alabama-based provider of medical journal summaries to physicians acquired by Haights Cross in 1997. Haights Cross is owned by Peter Quandt and M/C Partners, one of the most active venture capital investors in the publishing industry. In the educational publishing field, Haights Cross acquired Newbridge Educational Publishing, based in New York, in late 1997.
