Green Travel Network Launches Adventure Travel Resource
Posted on December 5, 1997
Sea Kayaking in the Sea of Cortez, biking the backroads of New Zealand, eco touring the rainforests of Latin America, climbing peaks in Nepal… Planning an active vacation has just been made easier and more enjoyable. Green Travel Network has researched and compiled a complete online resource for the adventure traveler. Created by travelers for travelers, GTN's new website http://www.greentravel.com provides a forum for information sharing. It is a virtual community where active travelers can research and contribute advice, ideas, and stories.
In addition to covering the world's best adventure destinations, Green Travel Network is also a great resource for more local trips. The "Get Out of the City Guides" offer advice on trips closer to home and maybe only hours away.
Green Travel Network emphasizes the practical: More than just an adventure travel e-zine, GTN also offers real help with pre-trip planning, making it a travelers’ forum, a guidebook, and travel agent rolled into one. GTN synthesizes all of the info available to tell you the decisions you have to make and your options for getting there. Via its partnerships, it then hooks you up with travel professionals to help you plan your trip or buy the things you need.
Green Travel Network's new site was officially launched this week. In celebration, when you visit http://www.greentravel.com and fill out a trip report, you are automatically entered into a drawing to win a free trip to Costa Rica.
