Wellness and health promotion professionals can tap into other professionals' expertise online at Wellness Junction's new Wellness Forum. Forum users can post questions, share stories and search for answers to programming problems from colleagues who are experiencing the same types of situations.
"The Wellness Forum is another example of how Wellness Junction is striving to meet our mission -- to be the first place on the Web that professionals and consumers need to go for their wellness and health promotion information needs -- a one-stop shop, if you will, to direct people to the best, most credible information," said Beth-Ann Kerber, one of the site's developers.
Wellness Junction, launched in July, currently provides professionals and consumers with news and information on a health promotion and wellness-related issues, including a Story of the Week, a Wellness Bookstore and a Connections section, with links to some of the best sites on the Web for health and wellness information. Plans also are under way to add a Supplier Mart -- an online directory of providers of wellness products and services -- and a Careers section for wellness and health promotion professionals.
"Plus, we're always looking for ways to add value to the site through new features or improved services. In that respect, the site will always be a 'work in progress.' You can't meet the changing needs of Internet users without dedicating yourself to changing with those needs," Kerber added.
