Gerald Loeb Awards Opens For Print and Broadcast Media

Entries to the 1998 Gerald Loeb Awards for Distinguished Business and Financial Journalism competition, administered by The Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA, are now being accepted.
Completed entry applications and accompanying materials for the 1998 competition must be returned to the Loeb Awards program office postmarked no later than Feb. 6. Consideration is limited to articles and segments published or broadcast in the United States during calendar 1997.
The panel of final judges for the Loeb Awards competition include Soma Golden Behr, assistant managing editor, The New York Times; Shelby Coffey, former editor, Los Angeles Times; Rance Crain, president and editorial director, Crain Communications; Lou Dobbs, vice president, CNN; Mary Anne Dolan, commentator and former editor, Los Angeles Herald Examiner; Robert G. Kaiser, managing editor, The Washington Post; Frank Lalli, managing editor, Money; Lawrence Minard, editor, Global Forbes; Mark Morrison, managing editor, Business Week; and Paul Steiger, managing editor, the Wall Street Journal.
Nominations are also being accepted for the Loeb Foundation's Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes exceptional career achievements in the field of business, financial and economic news. The Lifetime Achievement Award nomination form is included in the competition entry brochure.
