Gannett to Sell Virgin Islands Daily News

Innovative Communication Corp. announced today that it has signed an agreement to purchase Gannett Co. Inc.'s Daily News Publishing Co. Inc., which publishes The Virgin Islands Daily News. Innovative Communication's principal shareholder is St. Croix businessman Jeffrey J. Prosser.

"We are very pleased to acquire the award-winning, and pre-eminent source of news and information in the U.S. Virgin Islands," Jeffrey Prosser said. "We are retaining all of the newspaper's employees and executives and look forward to working with the people who have made The Daily News a distinguished Pulitzer prize-winning publication."
