Galaxy Enterprises Acquires Books Now

Posted on July 2, 1997

Galaxy Enterprises, Inc., of Provo, UT announced Monday that it has acquired Books Now, Inc., a provider of virtual, full-service, bookstores, of Las Vegas, NV. David Chazin, President and CEO of Books Now, Inc., has agreed to a three-year employment contract to continue the growth and expansion of Books Now, Inc., both in the traditional retail trade and on the explosive World Wide Web. Galaxy Mall had more than three million hits last month. Using Galaxy Mall's search engine, and secure on-line ordering, visitors and buyers can find and purchase a full range of products and services.

Galaxy Enterprises, Inc.'s acquisition, of Books Now, has contracts and strategic business alliances with media companies such as Times Warner, Hearst Publishing, Walt Disney, Times Mirror and magazines including Southern Living, Discover, Esquire, Town and Country, Field & Stream, Victoria, Country Living, Entrepreneur and more than 60 other magazines which offer book reviews as a reader service. Most book reviews leave the buyer with no purchasing information other than the book publisher and price. David Chazin says that Books Now has changed all that.
