Full Throttle Corporation Buys Full Throttle Magazine From Ziff-Davis

The newly formed Full Throttle Corporation of Grand Rapids, MI, announced the purchase of the popular simulation journal, Full Throttle Magazine, from Ziff-Davis. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

The Cobb Group, a unit of Ziff-Davis, originally launched Full Throttle Magazine, one of the leading publications for users of flight simulation software, in 1993. Since then, it has served flight simulator enthusiasts by providing a wide variety of articles covering: navigation, flight planning, flying techniques and tips, reviews of popular add-ons, upcoming new products, and editorials.

Full Throttle Corporation, the title's new owner, was formed specifically to publish Full Throttle Magazine. Publisher Arnie Lee is also CEO of Abacus Software, Inc. Abacus is a leading publisher of flight simulator software and computer books. Abacus will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 1998.
