Former Obama Speechwriter Sells Comedy to NBC

Jon Lovett, a former speechwriter for President Obama, has sold a comedy series to NBC. Lovett is the co-creator of the comedy with Josh Gad (The Book of Mormon) and Jason Winer (Modern Family). Reuters reports that the comedy series is about a dysfunctional presidential family living in the White House. NBC gave the new series a pilot pilot commitment.

The Atlantic ran a story last month that Lovett was leaving D.C. for Hollywood. It didn't take him very long to find success in Hollywood.
