Edgar Award Finalists Announced

The winners of this years Edgar Awards were announced. The winner for book length fiction in the best novel category was Cimarron Rose by James Lee Burke. For best first novel the winner was Los Alamos by Joseph Kenon and for best paperback original the winner was Charm City by Laura Lippman.

The Edgar Awards are presented annually by the Mystery Writers of America (MWA) at its awards banquet. The "Edgars" are named after MWA's patron saint Edgar Allan Poe and are awarded to authors of distinguished work in various catagories of the genre.
