Drezdon Media, a New-York-based media company that publishes Rhythm and News Magazine and produces the "On Stage with George Fletcher" radio program, announced that the company will launch three new media ventures as it transforms from a company working in traditional print and broadcast media into a multi-faceted new media company. This month Drezdon Media will introduce Digitalphile.com, a MP3 music downloading ecommerce system for independent artists, and Syndimusic.com, a syndicated news service for music publications' editors and journalists.

Drezdon Media is also moving its Rhythm and News Magazine from a print to an electronic edition. The magazine will be offered solely as a digital magazine, available as a free subscription at rhythmandnews.com for monthly download. The new electronic magazine will maintain all the features the hard-copy magazine, but will also incorporate multimedia sound a nd video, and provide web links to more extensive content.

"We recognize the myriad opportunities that exist beyond a newsprint publication, and look forward to going all-digital and establishing an international audience," said George Fletcher, co-founder, Drezdon Media and publisher, Rhythm and News Magazine.

Rhythm and News Magazine has been published since 1993 in New York's Hudson Valley/Capital District region. Although the publication has focused on regional unsigned bands, the monthly magazine has also featured exclusive interviews with hundreds of international recording artists, including: Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Eddie and Alex Van Halen, B.B. King, Jewel, Todd Rundgren, Mark Knopfler, Goo Goo Dolls and Matchbox 20.

"During Drezdon Media's ten-year lifespan, we have watched with great interest the changes in the delivery of information. The Internet and related technologies have made it increasingly easy for media companies to reach consumers, viewers, listeners and readers throughout the world. No longer are we bound by the limitations of traditional media," said Lisa Fairbanks, co-founder and chief operating officer, Drezdon Media.

Drezdon Media was founded in 1993 by George Fletcher and Lisa Fairbanks, both accomplished musicians and writers. The company has published the Rhythm and News Magazine, Hudson Valley NOW! magazine, produced and hosted the "Hudson Valley NOW!" and "On Stage with George Fletcher" radio programs, and produced content for Gannett Newspapers.
