DreamWorks Deals With Bandeira Entertainment

DreamWorks has signed a two-year, first-look deal with the independent production company Bandeira Entertainment, it was announced Thursday by DreamWorks co-heads of production Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald.

The deal will allow Bandeira Entertainment to continue to independently produce small-budget films, while giving it the opportunity to branch into a broader commercial market. Bandeira will also continue to find and nurture new talent on the writing and directing fronts.

In making the announcement, MacDonald stated: ``Bandeira has been a remarkably successful independent production company, producing first-rate films with great new talent. We're thrilled to be able to support their expansion into larger-budget features.'' Bandeira's upcoming projects include ``Life During Wartime,'' starring Kate Capshaw and Arquette.
