Dateable.Com Launches

Dateable.com, a relationship resource and directory, has announced the launch of its website. The site provides romance/relationship-oriented resources and services are offered, including advice columns, free user editorials, contests, games and sweepstakes. Dateable.com also provides a database of personal-oriented websites on a wide variety of topics.

"The Internet has enormous potential to pull people together through shared interests and passions, but it can also be an extremely isolating medium," said Jennifer Klein, a Web designer who created Dateable.Com to fill what she saw as "a disturbing gap in the volume and quality of personal lifestyle resources presently available on the Web." Klein added, "the personal sites currently out there are specialized in terms of their content and their audience. I wanted to see a central, inclusive, shared community that reflects and represents the real cross-section of people online today – singles, couples, straight and gay – who are seeking vehicles for anonymous self-expression, and tools for information and enlightenment. So I built one."
