Chemical Week Associates Acquires Today's Refinery Magazine

Posted on September 11, 1998

Chemical Week Associates, a communications and information company for the worldwide chemical business and related industries, announced its acquisition of Today's Refinery, the journal of record of the petroleum industry's refining sector from Percy Publishing Inc.

Chemical Week's President/COO, Michael Silber said, "what attracted us to Today's Refinery was its focus on the refining niche of the petroleum industry. It's the only magazine in the world focused strictly on refining. Today's refining professionals look for specific information and Today's Refinery is an ideal publication for their needs."

A redesign of Today's Refinery is underway, yet the magazine will retain its core strengths. Gregory Morris, appointed Editor-in-Chief of Today's Refinery, has covered petroleum and petrochemicals for Chemical Week for 10 years. Stephen Schwartz, V.P./Associate Publisher of Chemical Week for four years, will serve as publisher of the new magazine while retaining his role at Chemical Week.
