CENA Launches Site to Aid Budding Entrepreneurs

Posted on November 24, 1997

The Center for Entrepreneurial Activities (CENA), a New York based company, has recently launched a massive Internet site for the purpose of assisting budding entrepreneurs in starting and successfully operating their own businesses. The site, cenacenter, offers tools to help people determine the practicality of their business idea, assists them in developing a business plan, guides them through the steps required to set up the business, and describes the operating systems and procedures required to run efficiently and profitably.

Additionally, the site details where and how to get funding, including the names, addresses and phone numbers of Venture Capital groups in every state; unique new on-line capital sources; descriptions of the many types of federal loans available and how to apply for them; a state-by-state listing of the banks that do a large amount of small business lending; what banks expect from borrowers and how to meet their expectations; and many other clues to financing a new business.

The CENA site also contains comprehensive information on planning and executing marketing, advertising, public relations and publicity programs; conducting market research; managing the financial side of the business; and legal, tax and regulatory information of importance to small businesses. There is also a special section devoted to the many special benefits available only to women entrepreneurs.
