Celebrities Find Many Uses for Blogs

More celebrities are turning to blogs to voice opinions, promote films and counter media coverage. A few of the many celebrities with weblogs include Rosie O'Donnell, Tom Green, Al Roker, Melanie Griffith, Mark Cuban and RuPaul. Some of the celebrity websites are more bloggish than others. For example, Tom Green has a blog that looks like a typical blog. But other celebrities like Britney Spears, Ian McKellen and Stephen King just use their websites to post occasional announcements.

Blogs are an easy and quick way for celebrities to keep fans updated on their activities. The blog entries can help keep buzz going about an album, concert tour or an upcoming movie.
