BYTE, the monthly high-tech magazine owned by McGraw-Hill Companies announced today that it has purchased the paid subscriber file of the monthly paid circulation magazine previously known as Internet World from Mecklermedia.

This addition of the paid subscribers of the former Internet World increases BYTE's reach to a wider audience of computer professionals involved in the growing technology changes facing companies.

BYTE magazine tracks and analyzes emerging technologies and products for multiplatform environments. Its three-track editorial focus: building networked applications including Internet, Intranets and Extranets, managing data and network integration, helps BYTE readers leverage the information technologies critical to their companies' competitive market objectives. BYTE is part of The McGraw-Hill Companies' Information Technology & Communications Group, which includes LAN Times, Data Communications, tele.com and NSTL.
