Browser Usage Becoming More Evenly Split Among Top Three Browsers

Posted on June 22, 2011

Browser usage continues to become more evenly split among the top three: Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome. Pingdom reported these percentages for top browser usage in June, from June 1 through June 16.

IE had 95% of the browser market before Firefox launched in 2004. Things have changed considerably, but you cannot forget IE even though usage is falling. A webpage may look great in Firefox and Chrome, but not great in IE. You still have to check your pages in IE even if you don't use the browser to surf the web.
