Los Angeles-based Brookfield Communications, an entertainment industry professional data provider, today announced the launch of In Hollywood, a new web site aimed at providing industry professionals worldwide access to its extensive database of upcoming Hollywood films.

The site, located at inhollywood.com, is an online link to the motion picture industry's ever-changing development and production landscape. Providing detailed listings extracted from The Studio System, an entertainment industry research database, this new service will offer individuals access to information only previously available to studios and larger production companies. A portion of In Hollywood's information will be available for free, with more detailed data, searching, and reporting features offered through a subscription plan starting at $19.95 per month.

Matthew Kumin, Director of New Product Development for Brookfield stated, "In Hollywood is an exciting new way for industry professionals to access detailed information about Hollywood's future films. We hope that the site can serve as a first step toward creating a new professional entertainment community online."

In Hollywood's database includes over 5,000 future film listings searchable by story synopsis, project status, genres, production dates and contacts, as well as locations, estimated budgets, literary sale dates, and talent attachments. Users will be able to obtain instant e-mail notifications when projects change, offering the most up-to-the-minute entertainment data source available. Weekly news summaries will be provided, as well as over 17 years of domestic box office grosses. Navigation tools will link the past and the future, providing access to an extensive historical film credits directory, a who's who of working Hollywood with over 200,000 detailed listings from producers to costume designers since 1980. In Hollywood is being targeted toward industry professionals, writers, producers, independent filmmakers, international distributors, film commissions, production equipment companies, casting directors, journalists, and movie enthusiasts worldwide.
