Posted on June 19, 1998

The American Theatre Wing's 52nd Annual Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards, presented with the League of American Theatres and Producers, was broadcast from Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 7, on both the PBS and CBS television networks. Although, the broadcast is over, the magic of Broadway's biggest night continues every day on Tony Awards Online, the official website of the Tony Award.

Using a new streaming video technology called SoftwareVision 2, visitors to www.tonys.org can see and hear video excerpts of interviews with 1998 Tony Award winners and celebrity presenters. Originally recorded during the Tony Awards Online Webcast -- "Backstage at the 1998 Tony Awards" -- the interviews offer an exclusive opportunity for theatre fans to relive this year's Awards ceremony. The Webcast clips feature such Broadway celebrities as Angela Lansbury, Bebe Neuwirth, Swoosie Kurtz, Gregory Hines, Anthony LaPaglia and American Theatre Wing President Isabelle Stevenson.

In addition to coverage of the annual Tony Awards, Tony Awards Online celebrates Broadway every day with theatre news, celebrity interviews, show and ticket information, feature articles, quizzes and a forum discussion area.
