Posted on November 15, 1997

Barron's Online, the interactive edition of Barron's, the national business and financial weekly, launched "Weekday Trader," a daily update of the magazine's influential, market-moving editorial feature, "The Trader."

Written by Barron's Online staff writers Lisa Goldbaum and Vito Racanelli, the "Weekday Trader" will be published Monday through Thursday, and will provide smart, inside coverage of the market and individual stocks. Barron's Online is available on the World Wide Web only by subscription to The Wall Street Journal Interactive Edition at either http://www.barrons.com or http://wsj.com.

"The Trader has always been a feature that has tried to deliver real market intelligence, and the Weekday Trader enables us to keep Barron's Online readers even more up to date on what's likely to happen in stocks," said Howard Gold, editor of Barron's Online. "We'll focus every day on what the smartest people on Wall Street think of the market, which stocks they're buying and selling, and which ones they're missing."

"The Trader" will join a line-up of features in Barron's Online's Weekday Extra that includes Q & A sessions with leading analysts and money managers, a Monday roundup of stocks mentioned in the week's Barron's and regular columns from technical analyst John Murphy; personal-finance expert Terry Savage; technology maven John C. Dvorak; and humorist Joe Queenan. In addition to these exclusive online features, Barron's Online also includes the complete contents of each week's print edition of Barron's, posted early each Saturday morning as the magazine appears on newstands.
