Alabama Live Launches Local City Sites on the Web

Alabama Live, the state's popular web site for information and entertainment, announced the launch of its first city pages -- Alabama Live /Birmingham, Alabama Live /Huntsville, and Alabama Live /Mobile.
The Alabama Live /City Sites are an interactive collection of resources, including news, sports, entertainment, dining and employment classifieds from The Birmingham News, The Huntsville Times, and Mobile Register. The sites will feature a local's guide to City Hall and a newcomer's and visitor's guide. Highlights of the service include interactive polls on issues of local interest, forums where users can post their opinions about life in the local area and community bulletin boards for local events and company news.
Alabama Live, based in Huntsville, Alabama, is an affiliate of Advance Internet Inc., a subsidiary of Advance Publications, owner of The Birmingham News, The Huntsville Times, the Mobile Register and daily newspapers in 19 other cities as well as Conde Nast magazines; CondeNet, producer of the online services Epicurious and Swoon; Random House; and Parade and react.
