3Dgate.com Debuts New Site Design

CMP Media's 3Dgate.com, a provider of content, community and commerce for 3D graphics professionals, debuted a new design on January 26. 3Dgate.com's content comes from CMP 3D Group, which includes 3Dgate.com, 3D magazine, and the 3D Conference & Expo. The CMP 3D Group is also preparing to launch a new e-commerce website in March 2000.
New online features include Technology pavilions; Freeware; and a Community section: Open Forums allows visitors to voice opinions, learn from other professionals' expertise, and explore the future of 3D; Career Development features job listings and tips on subjects such as how to put together a demo reel; and the Calendar of Events lists 3D industry-related events from around the world.
Bob Melk, Group Director and Publisher of the CMP 3D Group, says in a statement, "Our dynamic new design will enhance 3Dgate.com's already high-quality content, unique focus on advanced graphics products and techniques, and daily access to the 3D community. Original content will be increased and updated daily. We've made substantial improvements to the site's navigability. In addition, we'll promote the site's re-design via advertising in 3D magazine and through editorial mentions in 3D Direct, 3D's online newsletter."
