Yack, an Internet program guide, has announced that it will acquire competing web program guide Channelseek, in a multi-million dollar stock deal. Channelseek founder and CEO Tom Britt will join Yack as its new Vice President of Business Development. The announcement was made at Streaming Media East by Jeff Morris, President and CEO of Yack. The acquisition is expected to be completed within thirty days.

``Channelseek has made great strides in distribution, especially in the broadband arena, and have developed several innovative technologies along with launching a print Web guide,'' Morris said. ``We look forward to integrating Channelseek's assets with our own to fulfill Yack's mission to be the leading provider of comprehensive, objective guidance in the exploding category of live and on-demand Web content.''
