Movienewz.com Launches Entertainment Magazine

Movienewz.com, a new online entertainment magazine, presents material that appeals to both entertainment professionals and the general public. In addition to film reviews and entertainment news, the site offers independent film news, festival coverage, entertainment links, filmmaker and film student resources, shopping and more.

Movienewz.com also offers a chance for people in the entertainment business to promote their project for free on it's ``Industry Announcements'' page. Site viewers who are not in the business but simply enjoy entertainment can get in on the action by submitting their own film reviews for publication on the sites ``Visitor Reviews'' page. There are also plans in the near future to add an entertainment classifieds page for film schools, equipment and resources.

``We wanted to create a free online magazine with useful content and opportunities for users to promote their work and ideas for free.'' States Kristi M. Ling, the sites founder and reporter. ``Many online magazines charge users to view all the content on their site... Movienewz.com helps entertainment lovers avoid that added expense.''

Another aspect of the site is that in addition to covering the big stories and celebrities, it profiles talented new entertainers and filmmakers that may not be making headlines yet. ``We want to give opportunities to fresh talent and give the public a chance to learn about what's out there.'' Ling says, ``People get tired of the same old thing and are always interested in reading about the 'underdogs'.''
