Ken Libbrecht: Snowflake Expert and Author

Ken Libbrecht is the world's preeminent snowflake photographer. He is the author of several snowflake books, including Ken Libbrecht's Field Guide to Snowflakes (Voyageur Press). Some of his snowflake photographs were used as holiday postage stamps by the USPS.

Libbrecth spent $10,000 of his own money building a special camera just for photographing snowflakes. He also makes his living studying snowflakes as the Professor of Physics at Caltech where he grows his own snowflakes in a lab. You can find his website here. Take a look:
