HollywoodOnSet Announces Online Film-Making Documentary Magazine

Posted on January 19, 2000

HollywoodOnSet has launched an online documentary magazine about film-making and film-makers. Through streaming video technology, viewers can watch documentary clips about the film-making process, including behind-the-scenes coverage of film sets and interviews with actors and film-makers.

"This is a revolutionary approach to entertainment coverage on the web that promises to change the way we look at movies," said Farzin Toussi, Fresident and founder of HollywoodOnSet. "No other site offers such an in-depth, personal look at the culture, business, and art of Hollywood. Unlike all the other film sites on the Internet that rely solely on reviews and trailers, we are actual Hollywood insiders, working within the industry, and through this site offer our audience a unique view of the people and processes that go into making today's Hollywood picture. There's something here for everybody."

The brainchild of Farzin Toussi, an independent film producer, HollywoodOnSet combines traditional news and interviews with online documentaries which offer its audience a look into the processes and people creating films. In addition to the documentaries the site also offers news, reviews, and theories, as well as discussions on new releases, trends, and film culture. Also included are profiles of the careers and lives of Hollywood's young actors and film-makers and coverage of film festivals, premiers, and industry parties.
