Description: Boys' Life is a general-interest, four-color monthly magazine for boys ages 6 to 17. It has been published by the Boy Scouts of America since 1911.

Payment: $500 to $1,500 for nonfiction articles. $100 to $600 for smaller (up to 600 words) department pieces.

Tips: The editors say, "A look at a current list of the BSA’s more than 100 merit badge pamphlets gives an idea of the wide range of subjects possible. Even better, look at a year’s worth of recent issues."

How to Submit: Query by mail with SASE. They are not looking for short stories which are assignment-only.
