Tips: Folio provides some great advice for writing a query letter that includes a sample query letter. They also provide steps and tips for creating a nonfiction book proposal.

How to Submit: Folio has separate guidelines for submitting fiction queries and nonfiction proposals. For fiction you need to follow the agents specific guidelines. Do not submit "poetry, stage plays, or screenplays."
