Posted on January 19, 2000

Biztravel, the business travel-focused division of Rosenbluth Interactive, has announced that travel technology expert Christopher Elliott will return to the site as technology editor and writer of a new weekly column, The Travel Technologist.

"People who travel extensively use technology to make their travel experience simpler, easier, and more enjoyable," said Hal Rosenbluth, CEO, Rosenbluth Interactive. "This new column will provide the latest ideas and innovations available with Elliott's perspective and recommendations on the usability of the technology."

Elliott is the founding editor of biztravel.com. As technology editor, he will track issues that affect frequent travelers, such as wireless systems, software, travel-related Web sites and hardware, including personal digital assistants (PDAs) and laptop personal computers.

"I am excited to have this opportunity to work with biztravel.com again," said Elliott. "At a time when increasing numbers of travelers wouldn't dream of taking a trip without a laptop computer, it's hard to understate the importance of travel-related technology in our lives."

In addition to The Travel Technologist, Elliott currently pens a number of regular features, including The Crabby Traveler on ABCNews.com, Inside Interactive Travel on Gomez.com, ChrisCrossings at Ticked.com, and Entrepreneur Magazine's business travel column. His website offers a complete listing of his columns. Elliott will join Joe Brancatelli, one of the long-standing writers on biztravel.com, who pens The Brancatelli File, and The Tactical Traveler, both weekly commentaries for the business traveler.
