The Zoetrope: All-Story Short Fiction Competition is an annual literary fiction contest.

The contest is open to literary fiction up to 5,000 words. The prizes include $1000 first prize, $500 second prize and $250 third prize. There will also be seven honorable mentions.

Results will be announced on the website on December 15 and in the Spring 2026 issue of Zoetrope: All-Story.

There is a $30 entry fee per story. You can enter multiple times at $30 per story entry. Use the online submission for at Zoetrope to enter the contest.
