Subject: Finding the News Online

Hi - Thanks for mentioning the variety of newspaper sites that are available online. There's a new search service that can help you locate newspaper sites from across the United States. This site is called NewspaperLinks.com (www.newspaperlinks.com), and it was launched in July 1998 by the Newspaper Association of America. It's free to use, and contains URLs for more than 750 newspaper sites.

Subject: Finding The News Online

I was surprised to see that in his excellent article, Greg Knollenberg failed to mention the world's most widely syndicated web-based news service - 7am News (7am.com).

7am News now syndicates its news content to over 10,000 sites around the Web and delivers the news over 750,000 times each day using "push to page" technology.

Although relatively new to the news industry (formed in December 1996), 7am News is growing very quickly and now has correspondents in 5 countries who regularly file news reports for our FreeWire service.

One of the reasons 7am News is not immediately recognized as a significant force in the News industry is that our content is often rebranded or a component part of other people's web sites.

However, most Net users will have encountered our 7am Live News ticker a number of times on the Web and our other offerings are also gaining a very rapid acceptance and widespread distribution.

I have a website where I list giveaways. I would like to post your site, but I have not seen any deadline dates specified for your giveaways. Perhaps you might consider making the deadlines clear? Thanks for your time.
