Sotheby's New York will auction a first edition of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald on June 11, 2013. The edition once belonged to critic and author Malcolm Cowley. The auction also includes other Fitzgerald material including a group of letters in which the author writes to the host of a dinner apologizing for being inebriated at a party along with an unpunished poem.

Sotheby's expects the book to fetch $100,000 to $150,000.

A 3D film adaptation of The Great Gatsby, directed by Baz Luhrmann, is currently in theaters.
