Shakespeare & Company Bookshop Launching Literary Magazine

A Paris bookstore called Shakespeare & Company Bookshop is launching a magazine called Paris Magazine. Publishers Weekly reports that store owner Sylvia Whitman calls the new publication the "reincarnation" of a literary magazine that her father, George Whitman founded in 1967. The frequency of Paris Magazine has not yet been determined. It will include fiction, nonfiction and poetry. The editor of Paris will be Fatema Ahmed, the former managing editor of Granta.

PW says Shakrespeare & Company will also be launching a literary prize for novellas. The details will be available at shakespeareandcompany.com on June 20th.
