Report: One Facebook Fan Equal to 20 Website Visits a Year

Hitwise ran a study to determine the ROI on advertising with Facebook. They determined each new fan acquired on Facebook is worth 20 additional visits (on average) to your website over the course of an entire year. The data Hitwise analyzed was for retailer websites. The number of visits per year per Facebook fan might be a little higher for blogs and media sites than for retailers, since the updates tend to be more interesting and less commercial.
