The two day conference, “Writing in The New Millennium,” presented by The Gulf Coast Chapter of The National Writers Association and Edison Community College in Fort Myers, Florida, on February 26-27, 1999. Conference March 18 - 21, 1999 at the Clarion Hotel on Hollywood Beach, FL. Lee Goldberg, author, Executive Producer and Head Writer of one of television's hottest and longest running TV series, will be the guest speaker at the Saturday night banquet. The evening's program will begin with the screening of an unaired, or recent, episode of Diagnosis Murder. Following dinner, Lee will talk about how a TV series episode is created, written, and produced, and about television series in general. Each week, a panel of judges will select the best submission and post that chapter on the site. In addition to the opportunity to collaborate with Densham and publish online, each winner will be awarded $100.00 and the chance to win the Grand Prize -- a new laptop computer from which to write his or her next screenplay.
