Contests

Blue Mountain Arts, which is now part of the Excite network, is running its 13th Annual Poetry Card Contest. Prizes include four 1st place prizes of $300, four 2nd place prizes of $100 and eight 3rd place prizes of $50. The deadline is February 20th, 2001. For complete information visit the website.

Hewlett Packard is running a contest for young writers. The contest is open to students enrolled in grades K–6. Thousands of prizes will be given away, such as hp computers and printers, and educational software. For details visit the website. There is also a contest for teachers and administrators. Entries for both contests must be mailed by 3-31-01.

The deadline for 1st quarter entries to L. Ron Hubbard's annual Writers of the Future contest is March 31. Rules can be found here on the Writers of the Future website.
